Latin Hip Hop and Radio Reggaetón
Although Ms. Yu has worked in the service of dominant global corporations, her latest endeavors also include representing the principal players who have propelled the burgeoning Latin Hip and reggaetón movement from a grassroots genre to the world: on-air personality Khool Aid, who hosts the hit Latin hip-hop show, Pocos Pero Locos in 40 major markets and DJ Kazzanova, the top-rated New York on-air personality and host of Subelo! Reggaeton Radio, currently airing in 20 major markets. To project these genre stars into the urban mainstream, she’s partnered Edwarad “E-Dub” Rios, the creator of Radio Syndicate, Inc., a network that dominates select markets as the premier network radio syndication company and a leader in presenting cutting edge Latin hip-hop. The Network’s programming also includes Top Ten Celebrity Countdown and the Lupillo Rivera Show. In a format similar to Breakfast with the Beatles, based on the current tastes of today’s audiences, the network has developed Tupac Shakur: The Life, Times and Rhymes. Ms. Yu was instrumental in strategizing a partnership with the Dick Clark-owned United Stations Networks in New York City for Radio Syndicate, Inc.. Dominating the airwaves in every U.S. urban center including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, the Syndicate has earned unprecedented ratings.
